Website Domain Transfer

News

Hello and welcome to the New UPA website.  The domain transfer took me by surprise, so there is little bit of content that still needs to be added, and quite likely some corrections that need to be made here and there.

Still we are almost done with the technical problems and should be able to concentrate on improving the website rather then scrambling to make corrections.

If you are looking for the Bronze Peafowl Raffle please go to the UPA Store menu icon and select Raffle.

Posting a Classified or Placement on the Breeders list
    • This is a great question. Every member can post 1 free ad in the classified section. Currently the best method is to send the ad that you want posted through the contact section, simply input your info in the required sections then type or paste the exact ad that you want in the message area of the contact form. An alternative to using the contact is to send the ad by email. Once we have the ad we’ll put it on the website as soon as possible.

As for your name not showing in the members section, you can let us now through an email or contact message that your not being shown in the members list. To be listed please include your first and last name, address, phone number, email address. Also if you have paid to be put in the directory, please include your farm name, the types of birds you raise, and your preferred contact info for the database and you’ll be added quickly as we can.

  • Hmm is anyone else encountering problems with the pictures on this blog
loading? I’m trying to figure out if its a problem on my end or
if it’s the blog. Any responses would be greatly appreciated.

  • I’m not sure why but this web site is loading incredibly slow for me. Is anyone else having this problem or is it a problem on my end? I’ll check back later and see if the problem still exists.

    • There can be times when the server is running slower then normal. However, if its running slow all the time, then I would consider what browser your using and how old the old computer is.

Both of these things can effect the speed of the website. I do have some custom code running in the background that put a strain on older computer or browsers that don’t handle certain things well.

The last thing to consider is your ISP. What speed of service are you paying for is the big question.

For myself the only time when I experience a slow connection on the website is when I’m either bogging my computer down with high demand programs, when the weather is just right to cause slow local internet speeds which can vary on the actual weather type, and the last is when I’m working on the website. I have been making some additions to the functional capabilities of the website today, so if you’ve only just had the the problem today that could be the reason.
